Reading Near Tian-long, a papermaking plant, in Zhu-bei are the two largest windmills in Asia. Undoubtedly, the windmills are related with the strong wind in Hsin-chu. The papermaking plant uses the windmills to generate power to help operating papermaking machines. This reduces not only the cost of energy the papermaking process needs but also the pollution of the use of other fuels.
Wind power is one of the renewable energies. The energy on the earth is divided into two types. One is limited storage energy source, which could be run out in the end of 21 century ; the other one is renewable energy source, which cannot be run out, including water, wind, solar, and etc.. In the past, nuclear energy is the main source of energy in many countries. As time goes by, the public prefer renewable energy rather than nuclear energy because it would result in serious damage to the environment and human beings. Once limited storage energy source is run out, people cannot help using renewable energy source.

According to German's experience, they are not replacing nuclear with renewable energy sources, but by gas nowadays. However, gas is still limited, so they attend to make energy efficiency and develop renewable energy. Eco-tax𦅙ay encourage people saving more energy. To mention the wind power, German is the top of the world's wind power market. Though the wind power produces 1.3 percent of German's electricity by the end of 1999, the public still uphold the construction of wind turbines because wind power can't cause global-warming. The only problem is that wind power is expensive.

To reduce the pollution of the use of other fuels, the papermaking plant makes good use of the wind. Nevertheless, other some problems don't be solved in the plant. For example, a huge of water and strong chemicals, such as color dye and bleacher are used to mixed with logs in the process of papermaking. The byproduct of the process is polluted water. To examine the river near Tien-Long, we can discover it is apparently polluted with our naked eyes. At the present, fossil fuels are still burned to generate power, which causes air pollution more or less. Though the public can do nothing with the operation of the plant, we still have some methods to prevent the pollution of the papermaking process in the daily life.?
